Year in Review

It's not hard to tell from the title of this post that my newspaper days are ingrained in my mind forever. The only thing worse would have been "Retrospect" ! lol I'm feeling the need to sell an ad for this page! lol

This whole blog thing is pretty much out of my comfort zone since I have never done anything like this....I don't even have a myspace! But since my bff Gayla did it and I enjoy hers so much, I called her for instructions. So here is a rough start at documenting my life on a daily basis and beginning 2009 with something new.

The year of 2008 brought a tremendous amount of happiness to my life and I'm truly grateful for so many things. Marvin and I were married one year in August and the old saying "3rd time's a charm" certainly holds true for me! I credit him with my ability to call these my "Ying Yang Years". Having John back in our home full time for the last year has also been an awesome part of 2008. Ok....he's 17 and all mothers out there that have had a teenager in their home know of the mass moods, money, noise and fear associated with it....but I take all of it with the greatest of pleasure at watching him grow on a daily basis. He received his fourth phone call yesterday from some modeling agency that wants him to come to Dallas on Saturday for an audition. He has turned it down the last three times but decided to give it a whirl this time. I'm game for seeing what it's all about but, in the back of my pea brain, I have a feeling this is going to cost me money.....just thinkin'. Kind of like that 165 page cell phone bill that had 5,342 text messages on it. Thank God for unlimited texting for $19.95 a month! lol

Phone ringing so have to get to work. Yahoooooooo!
